Of the 17+ vendors we worked with in our multi-day wedding celebrations, Raquel was the MVP. I have never left a written review online but I felt compelled to do so because of how good of job Raquel did for us. To start, at the beginning of our wedding planning process, we made it our goal for us to be fully present during our events and for the process to not overwhelm us. Raquel was the single biggest factor in making those wishes come true. Weeks before the wedding we were feeling relaxed and ready-to-go. We were so prepared that we working regular work days right up to the start of our wedding weekend. Raquel is an excellent communicator. She responds quickly via email and text and ensured that our vendors were on-point and ready-to-deliver every step of the way. She is organized and comes well-prepared - she consistently showed-up to all of our meetings a few minutes early. Lastly, without a doubt, Raquel helped us stretch the value of our dollar by optimizing the use of the venue spaces and by helping us avoid unnecessary expenses on many occasions. After 20 months, 3 postponements, and a coordinator who moved on to other things, Raquel stepping in. She did a great job, including finding us a new DJ morning of the event when ours called in sick! “We wanted some who was: Organized, task orientated, managed events in various settings, someone who took charge. We also wanted someone who understood how important it was to incorporate our cultures together, who will get how to blend tradition with modern and keep our integrity. What we got was this and so much more: Raquel met every single thing and more!! We spoke about being BIPOC and how important that is to her and the clients she serves.. Raquel was always communicating with us, searched vendors for us, handled the contracts and communication, had deadlines set up, kept us in budget.
She was readily available leading to the month before, she was a text, call away. She kept it real, she knew when to say "hey maybe we can try something else out" I loved it, she had a back up plan for everything!
She also kept in mind our families and how important it was to show our families how a 1st generation couple can still keep our roots but also embrace our cultural backgrounds. She also knew how important a timeline was.
Raquel was a true blessing. On the big day she and her team were amazing, always made sure I was happy and taken cared of. Things probably went wrong but I had no idea, that's how smooth the day went for us. We spent many months planning this wedding Raquel has become much more than our planner but a true friend, she had our backs and we wish her all the best in her company. “Dobbin St was the perfect venue for our early October rooftop brunch wedding and I couldn't recommend it more highly! Because of Covid, we were very focused on finding a venue that would allow us to host 70-ish guests comfortably fully outdoors, and the Dobbin St rooftop was ideal. Everyone we worked with at Dobbin (with an extra special shoutout to Raquel, our Dobbin St 360 coordinator) was awesome and really went above and beyond to bring our vision to life. We ended up tenting the roof at the last minute and bringing our planned furniture setup in the courtyard indoors because of rain, and everything still went off without a hitch. We also had a morning ceremony and brunch reception, and the Dobbin St team had no trouble coordinating our atypical timeline. The venue itself is lovely, and a great clean slate to make your own. Having the client suite was another really great perk. There's a private bridal area where I was able to do hair and makeup and get dressed, and another separate area where were able to sign our ketubah and marriage license. Both are furnished beautifully and make for great photo ops. The courtyard is adorable and ended up being perfect for our first look, but you could easily use it for a photo booth, lounge area, or whatever else you can dream up. Our whole wedding felt like a dream and it was amazing to actually see all the details I'd been imagining and trying to describe for months come to life. Highly recommend!”

Raquel came recommended by our venue, Dobbin St, and her intimate knowledge of the venue and their team was invaluable as we moved forward with her services. Hiring Just Say Yes NY was one of the best decisions we could have made regarding our wedding day. Raquel’s extensive experience, get -it-done attitude, and connections in the NYC area truly make her a powerhouse resource. Raquel also provided us recommendations for a florist within our budget, who also did phenomenal work. She had also previously worked with our caterer, which made things even more smooth than we could have imagined.
Raquel went above and beyond any expectations we could have had. We had no idea what all wedding planning entailed. We used the partial planning and day of coordination services and we would have done full planning had we known better! These services are absolutely essential for a stress-free wedding day! Raquel is extremely knowledgeable and organized with shared Google documents, making keeping up with the never-ending wedding tasks a breeze. She was there for whatever questions we had during the process; hosting a wedding can be very daunting and it was a relief to have Raquel there to walk us through. Where Raquel really shined was during the creation of the wedding day timeline, it really is the single most important thing on a day that seemingly flies by!
Raquel and her assistant were by our sides throughout our day, while simultaneously taking care of absolutely everything, including managing the various vendors and wedding guests, behind the scenes. 'My fiance and I had gotten engaged around the holidays and it was a sweet intimate moment, but I was totally unprepared. He really caught me by surprise and I wish I had at least gotten a photo to commemorate the occasion to share with my family. That's when I found Just Say Yes. They have a 'Re-Proposal' package that was exactly what I was looking for, but had no idea anyone was doing.
I sent an inquiry, received a quick reply, had a consultation with what I thought I needed and they exceeded my expectations. They came up with a customized re-proposal package at an affordable price. They sold me on the the idea to reuse the original location which photographed beautifully, found a photographer for us and negotiated on our behalf, and found a hair & makeup artist that came to me all within a few days and within our budget. We were on a time crunch since the holidays were coming to a close and the location where my fiance had originally proposed was only up temporarily. What surprised me further was the coordination of it all. We worked with Raquel and she was quick to respond, coordinate everything for us, was patient and listed to our needs and wants and was present with us on the day of our re-proposal. She made sure our vendors followed COVID safety guidelines and she stood by to make sure we got all the shots we knew we wanted and even those we didn't know we wanted, and followed up with our photographer for the photos to be delivered within 2 weeks.
We couldn't be happier; we were able to capture the moment, this time looking our best! Thank you to Just Say Yes. They live up to their name- all I had to do was Just Say Yes ! We're looking forward to using their planning & coordination services for our out of town nuptials!'

"We found Raquel through our venue, Dobbin St. She is incredible. She is one of the most organized and professional people I have ever met. She knows weddings. She went above and beyond to make our day so special. She got to know my fiancé and I and made sure that every decision she made was in the best interest of our vision for the wedding. Raquel knew we were on a budget and made sure to do whatever she could to support that. As we watched the weather leading up to the wedding day we realized there was going to be a hurricane traveling up the coast and this put a huge wrench in our plans. "Day-of coordination, meant that I also met and worked with Raquel. I was shocked and impressed when at the end of the night, a rather tipsy guest was trying to encourage me to take my wedding cake home. I didn’t want to because the hotel room fridge is small, and I genuinely eat minimal sugar. After saying quite nicely no a few times, Raquel finally put her foot down and said: The bride said no, her fridge is too small, ok? It was a small, but powerful presence and once again I was reminded of why I liked these two. Tact and diplomacy. A little power, shown at the right time, speaks volumes. Their work was ever professional, but I would say if you really want to know what sets them apart? It’s their ability to know when to press forth and when to back off. You need someone like this in your corner."

"From the moment we met her, Raquel was so professional, and we knew she'd have everything entirely under control. She acted as a great sounding board in those few weeks leading up to the wedding, flagging logistical details that we hadn't yet thought about. And on the wedding day, she took care of EVERYTHING. When I realized I'd left my veil at the hotel right before the ceremony, Raquel took care of it and before I knew it, my veil had been fetched from across the city. When my bridesmaid's dress strap broke right before she was set to walk down the aisle, Raquel handled it. I truly did not need to think about anything other than enjoying myself on the day. Think of a DOC as insurance for your wedding. It's 100% worth it!"

"We hired Raquel as our day of coordinator and had a great experience. She met with us at the venue for the first time and was totally on point. To be honest, that meeting was a real wake-up call. There were so many things she asked about that we hadn't even considered. She shared a check list with us that got us super organized. On the day of the event she was a machine. There's really only so much you can do to prepare for an event like that, and on the day of, the last thing you want is to start freaking out because of some tiny thing that didn't go exactly as it was supposed to.
